Park too strong for Macc after the interval

Macclesfield..18 Rosslyn Park 36

- By SAM BEECH

ROSSLYN Park produced a brilliant second-half display to see off Macclesfield.

The visitors started off the better and were rewarded for this pressure with an early try, David Vincent crossing in the corner after some decent early pressure.

However, The Blues weathered the storm and hit back with a try of their own through Sam Broster, after some slick hands in the backs.

Rosslyn Park were soon back in the lead, driving over in the 13th minute for a James Inglis score.

Macc were within two points after Elliot Brierley went over after a break from Josh Redfern.

The Blues took the lead for the first time on the half-hour after Tom Morton slotted a penalty. They maintained control for the rest of the half and were rewarded with another Morton penalty on the stroke of half-time to make it 18-14 to the home side.
