There was a hat-trick for Elliott Hodgson and two for Tommy Kanauros in a dominant performanc­e. Nick Sharp, Joel Hinchcliff, Adam Malthouse, Francis Entressang­le, Brandon Conway, Lewis Bradley and Chris Bell, who also slotted 11 conversion­s, also crossed for the high-flyers.

Elsewhere Rossendale beat Billingham 17-11 at Marl Pits. It was 10-8 at the interval through a try from Ryan McKibbin converted by Steve Nutt who had slotted an early penalty to a try for the visitors from Tom Briggs and a penalty by Peter Evans.

In the second half Rossendale forced a penalty try converted by Nutt although Evans did secure a losing bonus point for his side with a late penalty.

Sandal remain third and edged closer to the East Lancashire side by taking the bonus point in a 36-18 win at home to Kendal. Alex Elder went in for two as did Tom Wood with Steve Nolan grabbing the other score. Greg Wood added four conversion­s.

For Kendal Liam Hayton and Mark Carruthers were the try-scorers with Chris Park landing one conversion and two penalties in a losing effort. Wirral were 27-24 winners at Lymm. Ollie Higginson and Richard McEvoy were the home tryscorers and they also managed a penalty try. However James Annetts managed 17 points, a try, three conversion­s and two penalties, with Matt Loon and Rob Pearl getting their other tries for the narrow win. Ilkley beat Doncaster Phoenix 29-22 at Castle Park. Dan Lawrence, Ricky Palacio and Ben Magee with two were the Ilkley try-scorers with Joe Rowntree successful with three conversion­s and a penalty.

Waterloo came away with 30-25 comeback win at

Morley. Trailing 25-9 coming into the final ten minutes, tries farom Tom Lovell, Dan King and Jake Allen all converted by Liam Reeve to add to three earlier penalties turned the game around.

Cleckheato­n went down 24-15 at home to

Hull. Richard Piper and Neil Chivers were try scorers for Cleck with Ronan Evans landing one conversion and a penalty.
