Double trouble for Bradley and Conway

HUDDERSFIE­LD increased their lead at the top of the table following a 7-47 win away to Billingham.

Lewis Bradley and Brandon Conway led the way with two tries apiece, Austin Thompson, Alex Battye and Elliott Hodgson claiming one each. Chris Bell was successful with six conversion­s. Billingham did manage a penalty try, converted by Dan Finney, to keep them in contention at the interval, but the second half belonged totally to the league leaders.

Rossendale beat Morley 17-10 in a dour encounter at Marl Pits, but failed to take a bonus point. Duncan Tout, Alex Isherwood and Nick Flynn were the try scorers for the home side.

Third-place Wirral also missed out on the bonus point with just three tries away at Kendal. Greg Harvey and Ali Baker were the try scorers, adding to an early penalty try in a 19-13 win.

James Gough crossed twice for the Cumbrians with Chris Park kicking a penalty.

Hull in fourth closed the gap, taking the bonus point 34-8 at home to Waterloo.

Chris Harding, Joe Stafford, Cameron Curry, George Fossey and Dominic Hardman were the try scorers with Tomasi Tanumi slotting three conversion­s to add to an earlier penalty. Matt Crow was the try scorer for the visitors after Liam Reeve had opened the scoring with early penalty.

Lymm were 10-17 winners away at Doncaster

Phoenix, the boot of Carmack Nolan with four penalties proving the difference.

James Kimber got the Cheshire side’s only try against a try for the home side from Adam Kettle, converted by Jamie Leonard, a late penalty from Will Burdon earning a losing bonus point.

Sandal thrashed bottom-club Stockport 9610 at Milnthorpe Gree with Cameron Bainbridge getting a hat-trick. Steve Nolson and James Garrity went in for two apiece with James Ellar, Tom Coad, Steve Graham, Jimmy Stewart, Jamie Heron, Ben Bell and Greg Wood all crossing for one each.

And Cleckheato­n pulled off a very useful 612 win away at Ilkley.
