Pete Hodgkinson opened the scoring with a penalty from 25 yards after ten minutes, before adding another 12 minutes later from close range.

Williams-Davies scored the first try of the game on 25 minutes, showing quick feet to shimmy through the Irish defence and score between the posts, before adding the extras himself.

Hodgkinson notched his third penalty of the day from almost the same spot as his first, guiding the ball through the posts.
