Montpellier boss must wait for Gloucester ruling

-

MOHED Altrad faces a further wait to find out if his proposed takeover of Gloucester will be allowed to go ahead.

The France-based billionaire was in Geneva on Tuesday with current owner Martin St Quinton to make a join presentation to the European Professional Club Rugby board over their plans, with Gloucester describing talks as “productive.”

However, no decision has yet been made with a statement from EPCR saying the proposals “require further con- sideration” and that they will hold further talks with Altrad Participations.

The statement said: “The Board of EPCR will continue its dia- logue with all stakeholders ahead of further discussion with Altrad Participations and will be making no further comment at this stage.”
