Wasps v Worcester

Today. Kick-off 2.30pm, Ricoh Arena

-

WASPS had been favourites to reach the semi-finals before the season even started given their stellar squad – and with only five games left they are sitting at the top of the table.

It would take a dramatic end to their regular season for them to miss out and anything but a home semifinal for Dai Young’s side would have to be a disappointment.

They’re taking on Worcester at home today and another win at the Ricoh Arena seems inevitable but the Warriors have looked a different side since Gary Gold arrived and his physical approach to the game could help them trouble Wasps – just as Sale managed to do.

Wasps will have to deal with the physicality and directness of the Warriors before thinking about throwing the ball around themselves.

And if that wasn’t enough, even a broken game could suit Worcester with the likes of Francois Hougaard, Bryce Heem and Chris Pennell.

Given they are all but certain to avoid relegation after beating Bristol last time out, it could make for a highly entertaining game.
