Bristol v Wasps
BRISTOL are running out of time. The odds are stacked against them and they simply have to win today to have any realistic chance of avoiding relegation.
It’d be a pity to see them return to the Championship after needing so long to come back to the top league, but they simply haven’t been good enough so far this season.
Saying that, desperation brought the best out of them in recent times with a good win against Bath and a narrow defeat in Exeter last week, where they picked up two bonus-points.
However Wasps will not be travelling lightly as they look to secure top spot in the table and guarantee a home semi-final and, maybe most importantly, also see them avoid both Saracens and Exeter, who are clear of fourth place.
With no distraction of the Champions Cup anymore, the players know this is it and, after last season’s near misses, will be hungry for another try-bonus to cement their position.
They are on a four league game winning run, since losing to Sale, and despite leaking a lot of points they have the weapons to outscore most teams.
