Mark Wilson has been up there with the best back rowers in the league week-in, weekout all season yet Eddie Jones chooses two 18year-olds who are clearly not ready for the top level.

Tom and Ben Curry are great prospects – but just that, prospects. Players such as Wilson should be rewarded for their consistently high standards and a tour to Argentina seems the perfect place for him to have tested himself at the very top level.

I understand England want to build towards the 2019 World Cup, but some of last year’s England Saxons have been jettisoned for the generation below. Dan Robson, Matt Kvesic, Dave Ewers, Mike Haley and Tommy Taylor are big absentees. DAVID YOUNGS via email
