earned their maiden away victory of the campaign against relegated Grasshoppers.

Hoppers led 34-19 with 33 minutes remaining, but a late Dale surge meant they finished their season with a win away from home.

Hoppers were 14-0 up inside the first ten minutes. Niall Crosley ran in from 20 metres, then Matt Gargett doubled the lead with a solo effort, Lewis Allen converting both scores.

Dale responded with two quick tries of their own. First, Jamie Guy collected a high kick to run in unopWHARFEDALE posed, then Joe Altham finished off a well-worked Dale handling move to touch down under the sticks, and Tom Barrett converted.

Allen slotted two penalties to take the score to 20-12, but Dale had the final say of the half when Barrett collected his own chip

over the top from 20 metres to score under the sticks.

Hoppers opened the second half with Mabaya finishing off a superb team effort. Allen converted and bagged a try two minutes later after a Dale mix-up gave him open field.

Dale rallied in the final quarter, scoring three tries in ten minutes to swing the tie in their favour.

Adam Howard and Scott Jordan touched down, before James Tincknell put them ahead for the first time. Bennett converted Tincknell’s effort and added a penalty five minutes later to ensure it was Dale’s day.
