Wray seems out of touch with the fans

I READ the Nigel Wray interview in last week’s paper with great interest. I was shocked to see just how out of touch he and some other Premiership club owners are with us fans.

To suggest the Lions play all of their matches at home shows he just cannot grasp the tradition and heritage concerning the side.

To him it’s all about money, and nothing else. The Lions have always been a touring side and should continue to be so. In fact, I feel they actually need to expand their horizons and include tours to South America and Japan and the Pacific Islands rather than just limiting themselves to the present southern hemisphere big three.

Will Australia continue to be a fixture as one of the Top 3 sides in the world rankings in the coming years?

I hope that Mr Wray and his cohorts in PRL have a change of heart concerning the Lions or he may be surprised at the backlash. DAVID SHORT via email
