Hull comeback does not phase Lymm

LYMM held off a spirited Hull fightback as they won 28-19 to remain top of the table, winning five out of five so far.

Tries from teenage winger Lucas Titherington and scrum-half Andy Davies combined with 13 points from the boot of Cormac Nolan gave the hosts a 23-0 half-time lead.

Hull's Callum Lancaster, Steve Hihetah and Mike Adlard made a game of it but Lymm's Joe Denman crossed to deny the visitors a losing bonus-point.

Below the leaders, Preston Grasshoppers moved up to second following a 25-19 bonus-point win away at Kendal.

They'd trailed 9-5 at the break but tries from Scott Jordan, Mark Murray Matt Lamprey and Niall Crossley ensured they fought back, taking maximum points back home.

The Wirral made it three back-to-back home wins as they overcame

Morley 33-10 to climb to eighth in the table.

Mark Chester give the visitors an early lead from the tee but tries before the break from Tom Parry, Jack Yarker and Keith Mahon, all converted by James Annetts, gave the hosts a 21-3 half-time lead.

A try from Greg Jones after the restart gave Morley hope, but Steve Gratton crossed soon after to secure the bonus-point for the hosts before Yarker's second completed their haul.

Rossendale meanwhile made it back-to-back wins as they grabbed a 27-24 win away at Ilkley. Nick Flynn opened the scoring for the away side before Tom Leader and Ryan McKibbin also ran in.

Elsewhere, Harrogate bounced back from consecutive defeats with a 37-29 victory away at Birkenhead Park.

A hat-trick from player/coach David Doherty as well as a brace from Andrew Lawson and a single score from Charlie Purkiss-McEndoo secured the win.
