Young after new recruits

DAI Young is urgently looking for short-term recruits with 14 players unavailable for selection against Bath last Sunday through injury.

“We had to go to the board for extra funding, as although the salary cap rules allow for injury replacements, it requires extra spend,” Young said.

“They said they’re happy for us to consider options, so we’re looking at what’s out there by way of hookers, back rowers and flyhalves, with the aim of bringing in two players.

“There’s a couple we’re talking to and we’ll make a decision on what’s best for the team.”
