DINGS Crusaders increased their lead at the top after making it seven wins on the bounce thanks to a 29-7 bonus-point win against Bracknell.

Ashley Challenger scored two tries for the leaders while Luke Arscott, Dave Bufton and Michele Canulli added to them. Second-placed Newton

Abbot were also victorious, but they failed to get a

bonus point during a 11-7 score-line over lowly Lydney.

The game was pointless at half-time until Rob Avery-Wright scored a try and then kicked two penalties to put them 11-0 ahead.

Flanker Kurt Round scored a converted try for Lydney, but the title challenger­s held on to victory.

Brixham had their second win of the campaign in the struggle at the bottom with a 24-7 victory over Ivybridge.

Noah Nash crashed over for an early try as his side dominated from the start followed by a penalty which gave them a 10-0 lead at half-time.

In heavy rain and wind, Koree Britton released Connor Bedwell before a penalty try brought the visitors to 17-7.

A catch and drive saw Sam Thomas score again for Brixham, but they failed to clinch a bonus point.

Bournemout­h ran out 27-17 winners over Exmouth in a match where both sides scored three tries. Ben Hawley, Davy McGregor and Jack Downie scored for Exmouth, while Alex Everell Boulter, Scott Christlett and Alex Bennett dotted down for Bournemout­h.

However, it was the two penalties and three conversion­s by Grant Hancox that made the difference.

Maidenhead clinched a bonus point during a 27-10 victory over Hornets.

Jarryd Robinson, Edward Keohane and Dave Cole were all try scorers for Maidenhead. Camborne had an 11-7 victory over Newbury

Blues in hooker Sam Bartle’s 250th game for the Newbury.

The Blues’ only try came from Dan Izak and was converted by David Mankee. Finally, Cleve had a 2712 victory over

Weston-super-Mare, scoring three tries in blustery conditions. Tries for Weston came from Mark Turton and Marcus Nell but they were left ruing missed chances as they fell to defeat.
