Crymych move off bottom with first win in five

Division One round-up ONE West leaders Dunvant suffered their first loss of the campaign, 16-5 at home against Gowerton.

Felinfoel versus Aberystwyt­h was postponed.

Crymych picked up their first victory at the fifth time of asking as they won 40-12 with a bonus point against Penclawdd.

Richard Sharp-Williams, Laurence Headlam, Nick Bevan, Scott Jenkins were the try scorers, with Jake Jenkins and Ifan Phillips sharing kicking duties as they moved off the bottom.

Storm Brian took its toll on the schedule in One West Central with only one game taking place – Kenfig

Hill edging Ammanford 11-0 to move up to second. Aaron Grabham scored the try while Cameron Hall kicked two penalties.

Nant Conwy went top of One North after a 43-7 win over Caernarfon. Carwyn Ellis bagged a hat-trick while Rob Parry, Steffan Horan, Ifan Jones and Arthur Lennon also touched down with Lennon adding four conversion­s.

They now lead the way on try count from Bala who thumped Colwyn Bay 57-0. Rhydian Jones was at the double with Iestyn Jones, Chris Roberts, Ilan Rowlands, Elgan Evans, Robin Jones, Robin Owen and Garen Davies also crashing over. Previous leaders Pwllheli drop to third after their match at Bro Ffestiniog was postponed.

In One East, Penallta now lead the way after a 28-0 win at Ynysybwl and take from Brynmawr whose game with Pontypool United was postponed. Laurence Pritchard, Matt Jackson, Corey Tucker and Joseph Scrivens scored for Penallta. In One East Central, Glamorgan went top after beating Dinas Powys 20-6. Will Adams-Jones scored twice with Myles Churcher also going over for the Wanderers – who now top the table on try count from Treorchy – whose game with Llantrisan­t was postponed.
