Putua is the man to watch for Bracknell

BRACKNELL scored a bonus-point try within ten minutes in recording a 44-21 victory over Exmouth.

Jiute Putua is becoming a great find, scoring a hattrick of tries. Further scores came from Michael Clarke, Leo Bailey, Ben Sanderson and Ian Birch. Dings Crusaders remain top and continued their perfect start in the opening eight games with a 30-3 victory at Westonsupe­r-Mare.

Harry Tovey scored a double for the table-toppers while Ash Challenger and Joe Hawkesby were also on the scoresheet.

Newton Abbot remain within touching distance after also clinching a bonus-point 41-24 victory over Ivybridge.

Brothers Rob and Ollie Avery-Wright opened the scoring before Ivybridge replied with a double Sam Kingscott to draw level.

Rob Avery-Wright regained the lead when he converted his own try, before Kyle Browne, Luke Kenny and Cameron Fogden added further scores.

Cleve were 17-14 victors over Camborne thanks to a couple of tries by Sam Palledri, with Joe Hall also scoring.

Camborne replied through the kicking of David Mankee and an Ashley Riches try but couldn’t clinch the win, despite Cleve finishing with 13 men.

Bournemout­h remain in third thanks to a 31-20 victory over Lydney.

Forward Adam Davies opened their account after four minutes before Sam Hardcastle, Alexander Everett-Bolter also scored tries to give them a 19-3 lead at half-time.

Man-of-the-match Alex Manning added a secondhalf double for Bournemout­h against a Lydney side who refused to give up. Newbury Blues recorded another victory by 39-15 over Maidenhead. However, it was Maidenhead who scored an early converted try before Toby Thorne, Josh Winfield and Joshua Bartlett sealed the victory.

Finally, Brixham ran out 42-17 victors over Hornets in a high scoring encounter.

After early pressure, Sam Thomas ran over for Brixham before Dom Conner, Shek Sherrif, Martin Worthingto­n, Tom Goodman and Tom McLean all scored to clinch the win.
