1. Ross Harrison – Came through Sale academy with him. One of the most professional players I’ve played with and has worked so hard on his skills around the park. 2. Agustin Creevy – Played against him at Worcester and he’s a very strong bloke and top scrummager and is pretty destructive around the park at ruck time.

3. Vadim Cobilas – Strong man who couldn’t speak a word of English when he rocked up at Sale! Now one of the best props in the Premiership with superb hands that set him apart for a front rower.

4. Joe Launchbury – He’d be my captain – I’ve never seen the guy have a bad game either for club or country. Superb engine and just doesn’t stop working. Hasn’t quite got the recognition he deserves.

5. Juan Fernandez-Lobbe – Played against him after he’d left Sale for Toulon and he’s top class back rower.

6. Sam Jones – Unfortunate with injuries recently but had an unbelievable start to last season and we’ve missed him a lot at Wasps.

7. Dave Seymour – For almost every season I was at Sale he was the best player. Unbelievable over the ball and his work rate is incredible. Sort of player every team needs.

8. Andy Powell – Great character to have around and has plenty of stories to tell! Not bad on the field either – always looking to get stuck in and carries like a an absolute beast. 9. Dwayne Peel – Top player who brought so much experience to the team. Could manage a game so well and is definitely one of the best I’ve played with.

10. Danny Cipriani – His knowledge of the game is unbelievable – as is the amount he cares about it. On his day, no one can really do what he does, he can tear a team apart. And his defence has really stepped up after the criticism he took.

11. Sinoti Sinoti – Newcastle wing is probably the hardest player I’ve had to tackle with his unique combination of speed, leg drive and quick feet. One you don’t want to be one and one against.

12. Sammy Tuitupou – Incredible defender when he was at Sale. His timing and aggression is just on a different level and he’s now terrorising National One at Coventry.

13. Will Addison – Has the speed to play on the wing and can turn you a game. Highly skilful and always gives 100 per cent which is probably why he’s had a few injuries in his career.

14. Christian Wade – His feet are something special and he’s so strong. Enjoys his rugby and you can tell. He’s flying. 15. Charles Piutau – World class anywhere across the backline and he was just unplayable during his stint at Wasps.
