Edinburgh sign Bristol ace Hurrell

-

BRISTOL have lost their battle to keep centre Will Hurrell when his contract runs out at the end of the season.

The powerful centre, who joined Bristol at the start of last season from Doncaster, will be plying his trade in the PRO14 after agreeing to join Richard Cockerill’s Edinburgh from the summer.

He is unlikely tobe the only departure from Ashton Gate with Samoan fly-half Tusi Pisi ,the bother of Ken and George, coming to the end of a two-year deal.

And he could be joined in leaving by long serving utility back Jack Tovey who has come through the ranks at the club and who is also in the final year of his current deal.

Meanwhile, Blindside understands that Bristol have secured Gloucester’s Samoan international hooker Motu Matu’u for next season. It’s also believed that Leicester hooker Harry Thacker will be heading to the West Country after Tigers signed Tatafu Polota-Nau.
