Loughboro’ S ..37 Old Albani’s .... 18

- ■ By RYAN STEVENS

LOUGHBOROUGH Students turned on the style with a four-try victory against Old Albanians to secure their third win of the campaign.

The hosts laid the pressure on first as a few good runs by Jack Stapley forced the visitors back inside their own half.

Owen Waters put the home side ahead with a nerveless penalty but the visitors hit back through two Tom Bednall kicks.

After a positive start, the Students were full of confidence and took the lead as Suvwe Obano crashed over.

But Old Albanians responded and scored their first try of the match through Oliver Morris.

In a see-saw game, Loughborough added another as Stapley waltzed his way through to dot down before the break.

And they carried that momentum into the second half as George De Cothi grabbed their third to put breathing space between the two sides.

Waters added another penalty to extend their lead further and Old Albanians struggled to get back in the match.

However, with Loughborough set for the win, the away side did provide a scare as Craig Dowsett grabbed a try back six minutes from time.

But Loughborough rounded off the win with a penalty try at the death.
