Discipline players Rugby League way

-

I READ Peter Jackson’s piece ‘How do refs miss so much’ on Oct 29 and he’s absolutely right.

Surely we chould go the Rugby League way and if the ref isn’t sure, he could cross his arms and put in a report and then when the game is over, take the players involved, plus their managers, to the TMO straight away to discuss the matter.

They could watch it once with the TMO, make a decision there and then and not watch it 100 times in slow motion when it will always look worse, and everybody will be happy. The game can move on and afterwards the players know where they stand.

After watching some European games, the scrum is still a problem. It could be easily solved if the front row were to wear the old style of shirts so their opposite number can bind onto something. S CAMPBELL Haverfordwest
