Schoolboy Sevens event to mark Armistace centenary

A QUICK shout out for any school teams – U16 and U18 – wishing to compete at an international Sevens tournament over Armistice weekend next year in France, at RC Compiegne just down the road from where the Peace treaties ending World War 1 were signed on November 11, 1918.

John Dennison, who is also organising the Rugby Memorial Project, which has been gathering details of rugby players from around the world who lost their lives in the conflict, is the organiser in chief with an International Military 7s tournament also planned and concluding with a charity game featuring former Test players of varying vintages. It should be some occasion. Anybody interested should email
