Dunvant stay top despite Felinfoel charge

IT’S close at the top of One West after Felinfoel ran riot at leaders Dunvant in a superb 52-33 victory.

Elliot Dawe secured a treble and James Woods went over twice for Felinfoel while Aled Roberts notched 27 points, including six penalties.

However, doubles from Mark Robbins and Adam Williams-Parry, plus a Mitchell Ford try, ensured Dunvant claimed the bonus point that kept them top.

Elsewhere, it’s taken seven games but Llanelli

Wanderers finally have their first league win of the season after beating champions Kidwelly 32-22.

Jonathan George led the charge with a try, five penalties and two conversion­s. Josh Weeds added another try while Rhydian Morgan sealed the win with a drop goal.

Brecon moved top of One East after beating leaders Penallta 18-3. Josh Martin and Jake Corbett both touched down for Brecon. Dean Gunter added eight points off the tee.

Laurence Pritchard claimed a consolatio­n penalty for Penallta. Ystrad Rhondda stretched their lead at the top of One East Central to five points after a 34-31 victory at St Joseph’s.

Carl Williams and Taine Davies were both at the double with Curtis Williams and Callum Davies adding further tries.

Rhys Truelove kicked two conversion­s, which proved crucial in the end. Second-placed Glamorgan Wanderers also had a fight on their hands as they just edged Rhiwbina 15-12.

Pwllheli took advantage of Nant Conwy’s postponeme­nt in One North to go top, beating Mold 21-17.

Robin Hughes-Jones went over twice while Alwyn Trenholme added a third. In One West Central,

Bonymaen went second, beating Ammanford 22-8.

Nathan Brooks, Sam Jones, Nicholas Thomas and Rhys Leonard ensured Bonymaen claimed all five points.

Andrew Owen hit back for Ammanford with Ceri Morris kicking a penalty.
