- ■ By ROSS BARNETT

A LATE Jack Lea try sealed a draw and a bonus point for Stourbridge in a thrilling match against South Leicester.

Stourbridge grabbed another try when a lovely back line move allowed George Morgan to break the defensive line.

Leicester’s Adam Johnson crossed on 13 minutes for a converted try before Rickie Aley added a penalty after a powerful scrum from the forwards.

And, with nine minutes left in the first half, Charlie Jeavons-Fellows crossed for Stourbridge’s third try.

Samuel Pailor made a break from a scrum and the flanker was on hand to receive the ball.

With the wind advantage in the second half, South Leicester began to pile on

pressure and Aley converted his second penalty.

Myles Bean thought he’d crossed for South Leicester’s second try but it was ruled out for a forward pass. Aley cut Stourbridge’s lead to three points with a penalty minutes later. Despite a period of five minutes where Stourbridge pressured the home side’s line, South Leicester survived and eventually took the lead through an Adam Nunney try. Aley converted and nudged a penalty over.

But Lea barged over to earn his side a dramatic draw with four minutes remaining.
