Kunatani crosses at the death to kill off Sharks

SALE fell to another late decisive try in France for the second time this season as Semi Kunatani’s 79th minute score snatched victory for the hosts.

It was a cruel way to finish for Sale and mirrored what happened when the club lost out to Lyon in October.

Toulouse opened the scoring within five minutes with a close-range effort from prop Maks van Dyk.

An arm-wrestle ensued with Josh Charnley to the fore in defence for Sale before a loose throw at the lineout allowed David Roumieu to force his way over.

Sale kept pushing with scrum-half Will Cliff setting the pace with some lively passing and they got their reward when a long spell of forward pressure ended with Charnley putting Marland Yarde in.

Addison added the conversion to leave the interval score 14-7.
