Scrivens scores 43pts in Penallta rampage

JOSEPH Scrivens struck 43 points in Penallta’s 83-14 victory over Ynysybwl in One East. The fly-half scored four times and added 10 conversion­s and a penalty.

Leaders Brynmawr claimed maximum points in their 22-5 win at Pontypool United. Damien Hudd went over along with Adam Lane, Josh Congreve and Dan Croft.

Second-placed Brecon were 56-13 winners at Abertiller­y with Jake Crockett bagging a hat-trick.

It’s all change in One West after Dunvant lost a thrilling encounter with

Gowerton 42-37. Sam Evans, Sam Crowley, Mark Loughlin and Ben Ley went over with Evans kicking the rest for Dunvant.

But doubles from Gwyn Davies and Jack Solomon, tries from Luke Jones and Gareth John and 12 points from Josh Hamer steered Gowerton to victory.

Felinfoel beat Aberystwyt­h 39-22 to move top. Aled Roberts, Elliot Dawe, Luke March, Johnny Roberts and Ashley Lloyd all went over. Over in One East Central,

Ystrad Rhondda kept their place at the summit with a 40-14 win at Llanharan. Liam Davies went over three times with Ryan Howells claiming a brace and Jared Llewellyn also on the scoresheet. Glamorgan Wanderers are one point further back after beating Dinas Powys 33-22. Rob Lewis, Miles Churcher, Will Adams Jones, Cameron Gibbon and Lee Highate helped earn the bonus point for Wanderers.

Quins to a 24-8 win at Tondu.

Bridgend Athletic are five points behind after beating Aberavon Quins 20-8 with Ystalyfera now level on points with them thanks to their 31-0 win over Seven Sisters. Nant Conwy continue to lead One North by 15 points following their 47-12 triumph at Caernarfon.
