SHANE’S WALES TEAM TO FACE SOUTH AFRICA...

-

15. Hallam Amos – Will be fresh and raring to go. Has to take his chance at 15.

14. George North – Likely to be involved at centre on this tour, but wing is his best position.

13. Scott Williams – Probably one of the few Scarlets to be involved with lack of 13 options.

12. Owen Watkin – Very promising talent. Big tour ahead for him.

11. Steffan Evans – Ashton Hewitt is one option, but he hasn’t played much and Steff is on fire.

10. Gareth Anscombe – Likely to get the nod over Rhys Patchell first. Must step up.

9. Aled Davies – Involved with the Scarlets but mainly as a replacement, so starts for me.

1. Nicky Smith – Big job at scrum time against the Springboks. Rob Evans on the bench.

2. Elliot Dee – Warren Gatland seems a fan. Starting a Test match is another step to take.

3. Dillon Lewis – Tricky choice at tighthead. Samson Lee likely to be saved for Argentina.

4. Bradley Davies – His experience will be vital in a young side and against a giant pack.

5. Cory Hill – One of the tour co-captains and an automatic pick here.

6. Ross Moriarty – Could play at 8, but wouldn’t want to risk Aaron Shingler after tough season.

7. Ellis Jenkins – James Davies’ involvement in PRO14 final will give inform Ellis a chance.

8. Seb Davies – Played in this position in the autumn, could get another go.
