O’Reilly boys keep Glynneath eyes on promotion

GLYNNEATH’S strong start continued with a 21-6 victory over Ystalyfera in One West Central.

Jed O’Reilly grabbed both Glynneath tries while namesake Jack showed his talent from the tee with three penalties and a conversion.

Two Steff Castle penalties were all Ystalyfera could muster.

It’s now two wins out of two for Glynneath as they look to return to the National Championsh­ip at the first time of asking. Bonymaen also maintained their winning start with a 20-19 win at Waunarlwyd­d.

Kyle Salter and Nathan Eager both touched down for Bonymaen while Richard Cunniffe added the rest from the tee.

Sam Pridgeon and Stuart Nicholas added to a penalty try from Waunarlwyd­d while Lee Evans kicked a conversion. In One North, champions

Nant Conwy ran in five tries in their 35-14 win at

Bala. Sion Pringle bagged a brace while Guto Dafydd, Caron Davies and Stefan Horan added further tries. Pwllheli opened their season with a 43-14 win over Caernarfon.

John Pugh led the way with a hat-trick and was backed up by Deio Brunelli, Gwillion Sion, Caron Jones and Tom Parry.

Whitland made it two wins from two in One West with a battling 13-11 win over Tenby United. Again it was the duo of Gino and Nico Setaro who guided Whitland to victory.

Gino went over for their only try and Nico fired over the rest from the tee.

Lloyd Thomas kicked six points for Tenby with Jack Parkinson touching down.

Gowerton sent out a strong statement with a 22-15 victory at Dunvant. Glamorgan Wanderers lead the way in One East Central with ten points after a 27-14 win at Dinas Powys.

Philip Pariyo, Will Adams-Jones, Cameron Gibbon and Max Wootten handed the Wanderers a bonus point while Luke Fish booted seven points.
