Big three pick up bonus point victories

IT’S as you were at the top of the table after the top three all picked up bonuspoint victories.

Luke Northmore was at the double as Cardiff Met ran in six tries in their 41-29 triumph over Newcastle Emlyn.

Tom Benjamin, Zak Clow, Matt Marsh and Jack Samuel added the other tries with Harry Johnston kicking four conversion­s and James Mattin booting a penalty.

Arthur Lennon bagged the majority of Emlyn’s points with a hat-trick of tries, three conversion­s and a penalty. Alex Williams completed the scoring with a try.

Narberth joined Met at the top on 14 points with a 36-13 win at Rhydyfelin.

Jack Price led the attack with a fine brace and was followed over the whitewash by Richie Rees, Johnny Morgan and Keiron Jones.

Rhydyfelin hit back through tries from Gavin Close and Garyn Lucas, with Dai Gratton kicking a penalty. Reigning champions

Pontypool kept pace with a 29-18 win at Beddau. A Lloyd Lewis hat-trick inspired Pooler to victory with Ben Parry and Danny Hodge claiming the other two tries.

Matthew Jones wrapped up the victory with two conversion­s. Callum Wheeler and Ben Stephens hit back for Beddau, who saw Zac Byard boot eight points from the tee. It was a thriller at

Ystrad Rhondda as they sealed a 34-27 victory over

Trebanos in an entertaini­ng encounter.

Jack Foulkes, Jay Harris, Harvey Connelly and Jarred Llewellyn all touched down to hand Ystrad a bonus point.

Rhys Truelove added all the conversion­s as well as two penalties.

Llyr Davies, Chris Forshaw and Matthew Edwards were the try scorers for Trebanos while the latter added 12 points from the tee.
