Great Scott, Wimbledon are flying high

WIMBLEDON maintained their lead at the top of the table following a 243 win at home to Chingford.

Toby White, Jordan Saunders, Bertie Hoskins and Mark Scott were the try scorers with Matt Gilbert landing two conversion­s. Westcliff keep up the pressure beating Guildford 20-29. Greg Bannister crossed for two with Ross Merrick and George Maloney in for one each, Jack Jones kicked two conversion­s and a penalty with Bannister converting his own try. Guildford crossed the line through Alex Jordan, they also forced a penalty try with Kyle Brown landing two penalties and a conversion.

Brentwood were 33-12 winners at home to

Shelford. Charles Wilkinson, James Killington, Josh Stannard with two and Liam Batty were the

try scorers.

Bedford Athletic took the honours 32-28 over

Sidcup at King George Playing Fields. Stephen Woodhead, Ben Middleton, Harry Salford-Smith and Jake Foster crossed for tries with Leo Middleton contributi­ng two conversion­s and a penalty. Elliott Simmons, Louis Keeley and Jon West went in for the visitors with Sam Evans knocking over three penalties and two conversion­s. Sutton and Epsom went down 18-32 at home to Tunbridge Wells. Kyren Ghumba scored both tries for the home side For the visitors John Caddy, Mike Doherty and Mike Hathaway were the try scorers. There was also a penalty try with Frank Reynolds kicking two conversion­s and a penalty with George Montgomery knocking over a drop goal.

A late try and a conversion­s snatched a 37-38 win for Dorking away at CS

Stags, Tom Hunt crossed for two with Ted Cruise,

Matt Noble and Fraser Marshall in for one each. In the final game of the round Tring came out 3222 winners at home to Hertford.

Tom Brown, Richard Beeney, Alex Harrison and Charles Goss-Lambourne were the home try scorers, Jake Ollie added a conversion­s and a penalty with Harrison one conversion.

Richard Streets, Jack Mitchell with two were the Herts try scorers with Ben Lloyd slotting three conversion­s and a penalty.
