Super Passman powers Tynedale to win

- By BEN JAYCOCK

A HAT-TRICK by winger Morgan Passman helped Tynedale ease to a bonus point victory away at Macclesfield.

Tynedale’s first try was after a quick tap and go by Parker, caught the hosts off guard and the overlap on the left allowed Passman to score.

A kick over the top then picked the winger out unmarked on the flank to run in, while he utilised his extra pace to latch onto another kick early in the second half to complete his treble.

Passman’s first two scores saw the visitors in front after ten minutes, but Macc got back into the game through Sam Broster, who scored after an excellent grubber kick picked him out.

Morton then scored a penalty for the home side in front of the posts.

Passman added his third

just after the break before Tynedale then added to their lead after a try by Liam Checksfield after good quick hands by the away backline gave the centre the space to score, Parker adding the extras.

Tynedale scored their fifth try after a powerful maul overpowered Macc’s pack and No.8 Joe Mills powered over for a converted try. Macc then scored their second try through Myles Hall after he hit an excellent line, to break Tynedale’s defence.

But it was the away side who had the last laugh when Rory Dixon crossed to complete the scoring.
