Seventh heaven for Naylor as Hull soar

-

THERE appears to be no holding leaders Hull at the moment after they thrashed Kendal 89-0 as Keane Naylor scored seven tries and Simon Humberston hit 12 conversions–both breaking previous club records.

Other try scorers for the Humberside club were Rupert Kay with two, followed by Joe Stafford, Stephen Hihetah, Steve

Johnson and Mike Jobling in for one each.

Harrogate in fourth improved their chances of promotion by beating

Blaydon 24-13 through tries from Jonny Coser, Aaron Yorke (2) and Sam Brady – Nathan Wyman kicking two conversions.

For Blaydon, who now drop down to third spot, Keith Loughlin was the try scorer, which Jamie Guy converted to add to two earlier penalties. Alnwick beat Kirkby Lonsdale 21-3. Jonny Burn crossed for two tries with Pete Moralee over for one, all converted by James Bird.

Mike Fearon’s penalty was the only Kirkby points.

It’s certainly hotting up at the other end of the table where Lymm eased their worries with a 20-12 win at home to Wilmslow in the Cheshire derby.

In the final game of the round, Wirral edged it 28-31 away at Sandal.
