>> Quins snare Campagnaro

-

PAUL GUSTARD is set to continue his rebuilding of his Quins squad next season by moving for Wasps Italian international centre Michele Campagnaro.

The 25-year-old joined Wasps from Exeter Chiefs in November on a short term deal until the end of the season but is again set to move in the summer.

Campagnaro, who won a Premiership final with the Chiefs, left Sandy Park as the club needed to make room for the arrival next season of Scotland ace Stuart Hogg.

He made his 39th appearance for the Azzurri in Edinburgh last weekend and faced Wales in Rome yesterday.

Gustard said last week that Harlequins will confirm their new signings when the time is right for them, so Blindside thought we would save them the hassle.

Also heading to the Twickenham Stoop next season is Jersey Reds fly-half Brett Herron, a former England U18 international who started his career in Bath’s academy.

Herron, 23, then moved to Ulster where he spent two seasons prior to moving to the Channel Islands last summer.

Quins are also signing the Argentinean pair, loosehead prop Santiago Garcia Botta and scrum-half Martin Landajo.

Wales hooker Scott Baldwin, Newcastle Falcons lock Glen Young as well as Springbok second row RG Snyman are also joining the club.

Snyman, the 24year-old who plays for the Bulls and Honda Heat, had been attracting the interest of Sale Sharks but is now heading to south west London.
