Hugo on song as Park hold on to get key win

- By WARREN MUGGLETON

HUGO Ellis’ brace saw Rosslyn Park beat Sale with a dominant first half but leaky second.

Bam Fadahunsi scored after five minutes before Joe Munro and Ellis went over, Paolo Odogwu getting a try for the visitors.

But Jack Moorhouse’s second-half score put Sale on the way to a bonus point, secured late on by Johnny Leota and Odogwu.

Winger Fadahunsi finished a slick move from an early Park scrum but Sale were back on level terms within minutes, Spanish international Emiliano Calle Rivas threading a kick to Odogwu.

It was all Park then as Munro finished a maul on 17 minutes before Ellis got his third try in three games with a déjà vu move five minutes later.

Sale’s afternoon got worse as scrum-half Matt Bradley was sin-binned and Park took advantage immediately, Ellis repeating his efforts move-by-move for the bonus point.

Sale came out firing in the second half, Moorhouse touching down after a driving maul before Odogwu and Ed O’Keefe had chances to score but the ball didn’t bounce for them.

Park secured victory with a penalty five minutes from time, Oli Grove finding the mark from close range.

But the visitors’ reward came at the death as Leota finished a maul and Odogwu scored from a fulllength pitch run, earning two bonus points.
