SUTTON and Epsom maintained their top of the table status following a 59-19 win at home to basement side Shelford. Sam Hurley, Stefan Cooksammy and Jacob Bushell went over for two tries apiece with Jamie See, Matt Whitaker and Matt Harwood in for one each.

Wimbledon stay in touch having seen off the challenge of Guildford 387. Bertie Hoskins went in for two followed by Matt Gilbert, Toby White, Chris Yorke and Ben Hough claiming one each, Freddie Hooper landing four conversion­s, Alex Jordan crossed for Guildford and Tom Jeffery added the two.

With just four points now separating the leading three, Westcliff kept up the heat as they beat

Brentwood 34-17 in the Essex derby. Jake Spivey went over for two with Greg Bannister, Chris Marsh and Joe Vandermole­n in for one each. Ben McKeith added a conversion and a penalty, with Bannister on target with two conversion­s. Charlie Wilkinson nailed two tries for the home side.

Dorking were 28-32 winners away at Chingford through tries from Daragh Chambers, JP Alberts, Mike Terelak and Ryan Jeffery, Matt Noble hitting three conversion­s and two penalties. Josh Porter, David Ogufere and Vince Marchese were the home try scorers with Scott Meakin successful with two conversion­s and three penalties.

Tring beat Tunbridge Wells 45-24 thanks to Richard Roberts, Charles Goss-Lambourne, Harry Green with two and George Hayes. Oliver O’Gorman and Ben Criddle were the try scorers with Tom Newton kicking three conversion­s and Criddle two.

CS Stags edged it 17-16 at home to Sidcup - tries from Tom Williams and James Houston both converted

by Tom Hodgson, doing the damage. Freddie Ruff crossed for the visitors converted by Josh Twyford to add to three earlier penalties.

Bedford Athletic came out on top 29-26 over Hertford with Leo Mortimer kicking two conversion­s and five penalties. Tom Orton and Charlie Darlow were the try scorers. Hertford ran in four tries through Matt McDougall, Mike Sargent, James Kinsley and Ben Lloyd who also hit three conversion­s.
