Flier Amos returns for underfire Dragons

-

DRAGONS head coach Ceri Jones has made nine changes for the visit of play-off chasing Ulster today, as his side seek to make amends from their 577 trouncing at the hands of Benetton last week.

Jones admitted last week’s defeat in Treviso left the Dragons ‘shellshocked’ but hopes they can bounce back today.

Jones can include the international pedigree of wing Hallam Amos for their last home match of the season after he was released from Wales duty during the Six Nations fallow week.

Jones said: “We’ve had a really good look at the make-up of the side because there are a lot of players vying for positions and some didn’t perform in Italy, and they know that.

“Ulster are very powerful and scored three driving maul tries against Zebre. That is an area we have been strong in but we recognise the threat from them.

“Ulster have played well lately, so it is going to be tough. But we plan to go out there and put our best per- formance on the pitch.”

Ulster are able to welcome back flanker Jordi Murphy and scrum-half John Cooney from international duty.

With momentum stacked overwhelmingly in their favour after their 54-7 win over Zebre, captain Rob Herring urged caution against complacency.

“Over the last few years, we haven’t done too well at the Dragons,” said Herring. “There have been a few scrappy games and we’ve just come through on the right side.

“But we’ve played a couple of good games now and want to keep the momentum going and create a more of a buzz away this weekend.”
