Jim Smith, Ian Dartmall, Jake Spivey and Seb Reynolds brought up the try bonus for Westcliff as Jack Jones added a conversion and a penalty.

Wimbledon, in second, edge a little closer – now three points back – after securing a bonus point with a 36-31 win away at Dorking.

Henry Smith, Matt Noble and Tom Hunt (2) were the home try-scorers as Noble notched three conversions and a penalty.

Elsewhere, Hertford were 29-13 winners over CS

Stags as Rory Seymore, Geoff Hughes, Archie Wilkin, Kyle Lemon and a penalty try did the damage, while Lemon only going one of four from the tee wasn’t costly.

Josh Forester and Rob Boswell got over for the visitors, with Tom Hodgson landing a penalty, but it wasn’t enough.

A high scoring 31-31 draw between Tunbridge Wells and Bedford Athletic provided all the excitement needed at St Marks as Matt Spicer, Chris Earle (2) and Nick Doherty were the home try scorers but Bedford did enough to earn a draw.

Guildford took the honours 27-21 against

Brentwood as Josh de Buisson sealed the win.

Alex Jordan, Dan Paton, Matt Poole and Toby Tyson also crossed for Guildford, while James White and Jack Woods touched down for Brentwood, as Brad Burr booted three penalties and a conversion.

And Sidcup edged it 26-23 at home to Chingford.

Luke Coughlan was the sole try scorer for Sidcup, who also forced a penalty try, but it was the boot of Josh Twyford with four penalties and a conversion that proved decisive.
