CARDIFF Met made it four straight wins to move up into third in the Championship after seeing off Narberth 34-7 on the 3G at
Cyncoed.
Morgan Nelson was at the double for Dan Milton’s side with Tom Morgan, Ethyn Baker and Brad Roderick-Evans also going over. Evan Lloyd kicked three conversions and a penalty.
It was the only Championship fixture to beat the weather.
In One East, undefeated leaders Newbridge struck a big blow in the title race as they sent champions
Brecon to a first league loss of the season.
This 27-10 win for Newbridge stretched their lead over Andy Powell’s men to 17 points.
Jimmy Gahan, Luke Morgan, Eamonn Rees and Stuart Vokes went over for Newbridge with Rees kicking the rest.
Penallta ran in seven tries as they won 46-19 against Risca. Geraint Capel (2), Will Keep, Kieron O’Leary, Laurence Pritchard, Rhys Stephens and Matthew Brewer were all among the scorers. In One East Central Rhiwbina, who began the day second from bottom, climbed six places after beating Porth Harlequins
13-0 in the only game played in that division.
Elliott Jones bagged a brace to add to a Dave Gilbert penalty for the Squirrels.

Bonymaen won 24-17 at Ammanford.
Richard Williams, (2), Andrew Pritchard and Michael Hughes were the Bony scorers in a game marred by Nathan Eager’s broken ankle.
With two games in hand, Bony are a point clear of Dunvant, who edged Nantyffyllon 15-10 while Glynneath are still well placed in third after winning 12-5 at Waunarlwydd.
One West leaders Newcastle Emlyn squeezed past champions Felinfoel
9-3. Shaun Leonard sent over three penalties. One North champions Llanduno ran out convincing 53-12 victors over Caernarfon to move eight points clear.
