O’Hagan guides Havant past Brighton

HAVANT continued where they left off last weekend this time defeating Brighton 15-17.

Sean Shepherd and Dan Smith were the try scorers, both converted by Jacob Knight, to add to an early penalty. Sean O’Hagan and Pete Rogers crossed for the hosts, with O’Hagan also adding a conversion and a penalty. Sidcup got the better

of Tunbridge Wells 27-36 away at St.Marks. James Poland, Freddie Ruff with two, Jon Forham, Andre Patterson and Josh Gilmartin the other try scorers. Josh Twyford was successful with three conversion­s.

Tunbridge Wells crossed for three tries from Nick Doherty, Jack Smith and Toby Wallace. All were converted by Jack Anderson, who also landed two penalties.

In a close encounter at Norwich Road, Hertford edged the contest 14-17 over North Walsham.

Charlie Parkhouse crossed for two for the visitors both converted by Davies, with Jordan Mustard the try scorer for the home side. Matt Hodges landed two penalties and a drop goal.

Although the home side fought to take the match, Hertford managed to hold them out leaving the hosts with a losing bonus point. Wimbledon beat

Maidenhead 29-7 via tries from Dave Wayman, Ollie Kitton and Tom Milner with two. The home side also forced a penalty try with Milner also kicking one conversion. Maidenhaed got on the score sheet with a try from David Cole converted by Tom Francis.

Sevenoaks got the better of Westcombe Park 17-8. All the home points came in the opening half through a try from Matt McCrea converted by Ben Adams to add to an early penalty. The home side also forcing a penalty try. The visitors hit back in the second half with a try to add to a first-half penalty.

Dorking v Tring was called with the home side claiming the points. In the other game, Sutton and Epsom v CS Stags was called off as the visitors were unable to field a front row. Wimbledon are at the top of the table from Havant who slip back to third.
