Rampant Dorking close gap on leaders

WIMBLEDON remain at the top of the table despite failing to take a bonus point in a hard fought 21-19 win at home to Havant.

Tom Milner, Ollie Kitton and Henry Peuble were the try scorers with Owen Davies landing two penalties. Wayne Duggan, Joel Knight and Ben Holt crossed for the visitors with Jacob Knight slotting two conversion­s.

Dorking edged to within a point of the league leaders having seen off CS Stags 71-0 at The Big Field. Ryan Jeffrey and Jole McCrea each bagged a hat-trick, Ollie Rathbone claimed two with other tries coming from Finn Osborne, Joel Grant and Jonny Ellis. Matt Noble landed seven conversion­s and Cam Cowell one.

Sevenoaks were 50-3 winners at home to Brighton. Henry Galligan with two, Pat Pellegrini, James Fotheringh­am, Ben Adams, Ryan Hackett and Tom Morris were the home try scorers with Adams kicking six conversion­s and a penalty. Ben Maltby was the sole scorer for Brighton with a penalty.

North Walsham Vikings were 27-17 victors at home to Sidcup through tries from Jake Duffield, Ed Sampson, Will Hodgson with two, and Matt Hodgson who also landed two conversion­s and a penalty.

Sidcup crossed through Jon West and Freddie Ruff with Josh Twyford on target with two conversion­s and a penalty.

Sutton and Epson just edged it over Tunbridge Wells 20-21 in a thriller at St. Marks.

Kyren Ghumra, Matt Whittacker and Ross Parsons went over for the visitors all converted by Ross Hurley. Toby Wallace and Jack Smith were try scorers for the home side to add to a penalty try plus a penalty from Luke Giles.

In a high scoring game at Braywick Park, Hertford came out on top 29-48 over Maidenhead. Charlie Parkhouse and Michael Sargent claimed two apiece with Kyle Lemon,

Edgar Conrad, Ben Creasey and Dave Hale got in for one each and Lloyd Davies hit four conversion­s. Ben Mitchel with two, Ed Keohane and Christoph Bart crossed for the home side with Keohane successful with three conversion­s and a penalty.

In the final game of the round Tring beat Westcombe Park 37-31. Eddie Harrison claimed two tries followed by Ben Criddle and Archie Jones with one each. All four were converted by Ben Hogan who also kicked three penalties.
