OTLEY increase their lead at the top of the table following a 50-17 win at home to Burnage.

Luke Cole led the charge with four tries, Adam Malthouse bagged two, with Alex Beaumont and Joe Rowntree, who also slotted five conversion­s, the other try scorers. Stuart Oldham and Grant Connon went in for the visitors both converted by Oldham, who also landed a penalty.

Preston Grasshoppe­rs slip back to third going down at home 7-32 to Alnwick. Jacob Browne was the try scorer converted by Tom Walker. For Alnwick, James Cowen and Hugh Todd crossed for tries both converted by Evan Moir, who also added five second-half penalties and a drop goal.

Billingham took full advantage and now move up to second after thrashing Kirkby Lonsdale 76 -0 at Greenwood Road.

Alfie Lawson grabbed a hat-trick, Martin Hopley crossed for two, with Luke Wilson, Joe Roxby, Micael Walton, Anthony Jackson, Peter Evans, Dan Dixon and Tom Briggs over for

each. Roxby kicked two conversion­s with Evans adding six.

In the early kick-off,

Macclesfie­ld came out on top 13-7 over Wirral. James Oliver scored his side’s only try converted by Harry Oliver, who also added a penalty. Wirral got on the scoresheet to take the losing-bonus point with a penalty try.

Blackburn beat Lymm 15-10 through tries from Tom Burtonwood and Josh Jarrold, with Paddy Gaffey successful with a conversion and a penalty. Curt Riley went in for the visitors converted by Cormack Nolan, who also landed a penalty.

Rossendale came from behind at Sandal to take the win 13-29. Austin Thompson crossed for the home side converted by Luke Punton, who also hit two pens, with Rossendale closing the half with a try from Brad Cave converted by Liam McGovern. The second half was all Rossendale with further tries from Henry Wilby, Liam Canning and Tom Bedlow to take the bonus point, with McGovern adding to his tally with two more conversion­s and a penalty.
