Home win sees Dorking pull clear

LEADERS Dorking won the battle of the top two, increasing their lead at the head of the pack by winning 23-17 at home to North Walsham.

Finn Osborn crossed for two and Killian Wilson slotted two penalties, with the home side forcing a penalty try. The visitors points came from four penalties from Matt Hodgson, plus a try by Jim Riley.

Wimbledon won 19-15 at Tunbridge Wells through tries from Paul Hendry, Tom Milner and Archie Brosch, Owen Davies slotting two conversion­s.

Nick Doherty and Toby Wallace got over for the hosts, with Jack Anderson landing a conversion and a penalty.

Westcombe Park were 34-3 victors at home to Sidcup through tries from Jacob Buckley, Nick Cook, Matt Harrison, Hugh McPherson and Nathan Thomas, with Cameron Hancock on target with three conversion­s and a penalty.

Josh Twyford was the only scorer for the visiCAMBOU­RNE tors with a penalty.

Maidenhead were 24-20 victors at home to Sutton and Epsom.

Jack Hill, Niall Crosley and Drew Prince were the try scorers all converted by Connor Grainey who also slotted a penalty.

Tring went down 45-19 at home to Sevenoaks. Home tries came from Rory Hardman and Josh White, with Ben Hogan landing three penalties.

Hertford glided past Brighton 52-7. James Kinglsey crossed for two, with Alex Banna, Charlie Parkhouse, Josh Rudling, Ben Creasey, Michael Sergeant and Brad Baker the other try scorers, Kyle Lemon on target with six conversion­s.

Brighton got a penalty try and a try for Sean O’Hagan, converted by Stasio Maltby.

The game between winless bottom side CS Stags and Havant was postponed.

Dorking have opened up an eight points lead, with Wimbledon in second just ahead of Hertford on points difference, North Walsham dropping back to fourth.
