BLACKBURN still top the table after taking the try bonus point in their 33-17 win at home to Stockport.

Jake Foster and Leon Simpson crossed for a brace apiece and Sammy Russell bagged one, with Paddy Gaffey landing two conversion­s.

Tom Fisher and Dudley Southern were try scorers for the visitors, both converted by Ewan Holts, who also slotted a penalty.

Lymm remain second after defeating Manchester 43-10 at Beechwood.

Ali Southerlan­d, James Pitcher, Nathan Beesley, Sam Dickenson and Callum Morris were the try scorers for the home side, with Cormack Nolan kicking four conversion­s and three penalties. Joe Williams and Tom Travis were the try scorers for the visitors.

Rossendale remain in third spot after winning 35-17 at Kendal.

Matt Lamprey and Brad Cave went over for two each, with Scott Jordan in for one, all converted by Lewis Allen.

Ben Dixon, with two, and Joe Anderson were the try scorers for Kendal, with Dan Lowther kicking one conversion. At one stage, Rossendale were down to 12 with two players shown yellow and one a red for a high tackle.

Sandbach were 44-10 winners away to Burnage, who have just the one win to show for their efforts so far this season.

The visitors scored tries through Matt Beeston, Calum Oakden, Josh Brooks, Jack Leach and James Preston, who also added three conversion­s and three penalties, with Tom Martin kicking one conversion.

Keir Merrick and Oliver Fallon were the try scorers for the home side.

Northwich were 52-20 winners against Kirkby Lonsdale. Joel Barber, Ethan Martin, with two, Scott Davidson, Richard Dale, Andre Nel, Tom Clarke and Tom White were try scorers for the visitors, with Nick Baldwin successful with six conversion­s. Josh Ree, with two, and George Moss were try scorers for KL, with Ree also adding two conversion­s and a penalty.

Macclesfie­ld edged it 23-21 away to Wirral. Harry Oliver went in for two, with Lloyd Coates the other try scorer. Charlie Attiss was on target with two penalties and a conversion. Chris Crowley, Mark Williams and Nick Hearn crossed for the home side, with Dan Harvey landing one conversion and Ben Brookes two.
