CAMBORNE continues to lead the way at the top, stretching their lead to five points after a 32-19 win against fourth-place

Devonport Services.

The visitors were 12-0 up after only ten minutes, but only managed to score once more. Try-scorers for the hosts included Connor Gilbert, Jordan Nicholls, Jack Kessell, Aden Muirhead and Aaron Simmonds, who added two conversions and a penalty for a tally of 12 and complete the host’s scoring.

There was a major shock as second-place

Chew Valley’s incredible nine-match winning run came to a shocking end at home against Exmouth, who ran out 29-25 winners.

The away side, who stay ninth, secured the bonus-point victory through tries from Connor O’Shaughnessy, Robbie Weeks, Will Ridout and Dave Bargent. All the kicks to complete Exmouth’s tally came from fly-half George Meadows.

Scorers for the hosts included centre Joe Cowell and a brace from Alex Cox, which rescued them a losing bonus point.

There was no shock for third-place Brixham as they bounced back from

defeat last time out to beat Okehampton 32-14. Committed as ever, the visitors were somewhat unlucky to come away with nothing after the hosts went up a gear in the final 20. The defeat means the Oaks stay bottom of the table.

Fifth-place Lydney

were also on the end of an upset, but managed to battle through for a narrow 13-10 win at home against their rivals Drybrook.

It was a special day for the visitor’s Glen Nott, who was making his 150th appearance for the club

It was a lot more routine for sixth-place Ivybridge

as they romped to a convincing 42-24 bonus-point away win against WestonSuper-mare. The hosts fell one try short of a bonus point with Cameron Maslen, Ben Cox and full-back Harry Butland crossing the whitewash.

And finally, another shock saw Launceston,

on their travels, come away with a 15-10 win against Old Centralians,

who had won their past three. The Cornish All Blacks took the lead early on when Brandon Rowley opened the scoring on what was his 111th appearance. The powerhouse then went on to score two more and secure just a fourth win of the season. The visitors remain tenth, despite winning, while the hosts stay seventh.
