Halfway mark in 12 month challenge

A team of adventurous fund-raisers have reached the half way point in their 12-month challenge. The team from Opera House Casino have taken on a 12-month challenge, where they are completing one every month of the year and raised £ 568.73 so far. For July’s challenge Lisa Mason has agreed to parachute out of a plane having teamed up with Saint Catherine’s for their Parachute Day. Lisa said: “I signed up three weeks ago so it’s all a bit last minute. It’s all for a great cause and I’m really excited and a bit nervous.” So far the team have swum the length of the English Channel, two of the team ran a half marathon, employees trained throughout the month to complete a 5k run, cycled the length of the Tour de Yorkshire and walked the Cinder Track.
