Fundraiser planned at Filey Golf Club
A major fundraising event is set to be held at Filey Golf Club next week and tickets are still available.
The Making Memories dinner dance, on Friday July 29, is raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and towards a new 4x4 wheelchair for Jason Liversidge who suffers from Fabry Disease, an extremely rare, life-limiting condition.
Jason, who is one of the event’s organisers, also recently took on Europe’s longest zip wire, in Bethesda, Wales, to raise cash towards the wheelchair.
Tickets are £27 per person (tables of eight) which includes a three-course meal and entertainment from Sammy Atkinson who has been on Stars in their Eyes and The X-Factor.
On the night there will also be a DJ, raffle, and photographer.
Organisers are also looking for local companies to sponsor a table at £50 per table in exchange for advertising on social media leading up to the event and on the night.
