Net gains for Scarborough Ladies Football Club
Scarborough-based retailer the Proudfoot Group is helping one local organisation hit its goal by donating £500 from its Making A Difference Locally scheme. Christopher Rhodes, manager at Proudfoot Eastfield store and Valerie Aston (buying and distribution controller) recently joined Scarborough Ladies Football Club members during their Thursday night training session at Overdale School to present them with the £500 cheque. The Scarborough Ladies FC has seen numbers double over the last year to 120 girls and it has re-launched its Open Age Adult team to give the younger girls a long-term progression pathway and keep them in the game.
