Nine years later, still no action on bathing station

Re your item regarding, among others, the derelict bathing station.

It is approximately nine years since I wrote about this enclosing a similar photograph, and commented that as a frequent visitor to the Clock Cafe, we have it in our line of vision all day.

My letter and photograph were printed, and I telephoned the council to ask what they thought visitors to the town thought about seeing this eyesore.

The person who spoke to me advised me that the demolition of the structure “was under discussion”.

Nine years talking, result – zero.
