Leading lights in the culinary world returned to their roots to present a Michelin Star Chefs Spectacular event in Scarborough last week.

The evening at the Spa brought back chefs who trained locally and have gone on to achieve Michelin stars.

This did not just create a sense of pride for the town and for the former Scarborough Technical College, where the “old boys” trained.

It also gave a real-life glimpse of what is possible for youngsters who work hard, study hard and strive for success in their chosen area. Scarborough is a hotbed of talent in many areas, including art, music, theatre and engineering, so to find ways to celebrate this and shout about it to a wider audience is important. It shows students that studying in the town can lead to great things and the right start in life can be a recipe for success.
