Walk to thank charity for Alex support
A sponsored walk will take place on Sunday for a charity which has made a huge difference to an Easfield resident with terminal lung cancer.
Alex Pinchon, 81, has praised the support he has received from Macmillan Cancer Support since his diagnosis in November. He said: “The nurses and volunteers are fantastic. They are so lovely and always have a smile on their faces. The work they do is unbelievable and the day release I get is the highlight of my week, every week.” As a thank-you, Alex’s friend Margaret Byrne, 58, has organised a walk in aid of their continued support. The event will begin at 2pm on Sunday February 19, outsidetheSpaandfinishat North Bay. Members of the public are urged to participate by meeting at the start point.
