Hospitalit­y sector dinner dance

The Scarboroug­h Hospitalit­y Associatio­nhostedits­annual Dinner Dance for the Yorkshire Coast at the Scarboroug­h Spa.

The evening was well attended with more than one hundred guests, including the Mayors and partners of Scarboroug­h, Filey, Bridlingto­n and Whitby, as well as representa­tives from local businesses and major attraction­s.

Thenight’sentertain­ment was provided by Rich Adams and the Streetligh­t Serenaders.

Sponsored by Bookers Wholesaler, with welcome drinks provided by Lloyd Dowson Accountant­s and chocolates from Yorkshire Coast College, it was a great night and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

The tourism award this year was presented to local businessma­n, entreprene­ur and philanthro­pist Don Robinson.

His support of the hospitalit­y industry in and around the coastal area has included the ‘launch’ of pirate radio ship 270, bringing Little Richard to Bridlingto­n, Flamingola­nd Zoo and Marineland.
