People have no confidence in councillors

How long do the people of Scarborough go on putting up with its council?

We have seen Whitby Town Council put a vote of ‘no confidence’ in Cllr Bastiman and his cabinet, and on Monday Filey Town Council voted on a motion of ‘no confidence’ in Cllr Bastiman and his cabinet.

Some say this has come with the Futurist, but it’s been coming for a long time.

I feel the people are sick of a council that has no respect for the town or its people.

I think the time has come where the people are standing up more, and asking for more openness and transparency from its councillors.
